This is reference to December 15 show - Broadsided
Today I posed a question on chat in reference to Carol being an atheist. What I really want to know is how, as an atheist, can she agree with Lisa Sharon Harper’s explanation of Jesus and government when she doesn’t believe in Jesus? How does the bible have meaning as it relates to the principles of our government when she doesn’t believe it to be the Word of God, because she doesn’t believe IN God? I am NOT judging her beliefs, but I am wondering if it isn’t a bit duplicitous to make comments based on faith in Christ when you don’t even believe he exists.
There is risk of my comments being twisted into criticism of Atheism - Not at all, the greatness of America comes from our diversity and our right to disagree.
Sincerely,
Lisa Kratz Thomas

In my humble opinion, what you do and believe is your right and your choice, I cannot deem it hypocritical. However, let me pose this question: If you did not believe that an airplane could fly would you get on it? Better yet would you be qualified to direct others in why they should give it a try? My point is that if an atheist doesnt believe in the existence of God, then why would he or she point out scripture (which is the Word of God) or be in alignment with someone who does believe in that word and its power? Then, in addition attempt to use that something, you dont even believe in, to win an argument? That is what I find hypocritical.

I did try to address this in private and that is what promoted this blog to be written. Wholeheartedly, I agree with your comment about Atheists vs. Agnostics. I also stated that in my rebuttal and suggested such. Yes we dont fight flesh and blood but spirits and principalities. My prayer partners and I have been and will continue to pray for this situation. Sometimes, though we must stand for our beliefs.
And please, post as much as you like - that is why we have this blog.
Given that you have little to no understanding of Atheism, tossing back the thesis of your own argument, how do you feel qualified to comment on it? I can get on a plane without knowing how to fly it. I can study and understand the basic tenants of religion and yes, even agree with certain parts of the philosophy (charity, loving thy neighbor, etc.,) without believing in God. What you're questioning is my integrity and that, Lisa, makes it personal. The very idea that one has to believe in God in order to have any understanding of religion or faith is ludicrous. Hypocritical is claiming to know Jesus and to follow the word of God and then to judge the heart of another. Heal thyself.

You have way too much time on your hands if you are pulling out messages that were posted months ago (December 20) just to stir up strife. You addressed this comment several time before and I refuse to argue with you anymore.
I don't recall naming you by name in a thread to make a personal attack on you. I don't remember getting on the chat line during your radio show to question your integrity - repeatedly. I don't remember having my friends hop on one of your posts to personally attack you - and yet you accuse me of stirring up strife? Tell me some more about how you're a loving Christian. Your "testimony" is inspiring.
