Based on a true story, told with the flow of a novel, spiced with frank wisdom and wit, Holding My Hand Through Hell encourages the reader to immerse themselves into this family’s life and is an inspiration to become an advocate for change in this world we all share. This book will incite discussion, debate, and heightened awareness about hope, survival, abuse, murder, and its impact on our society. In the end, it will leave readers  both applauding this woman as well as wondering how she escaped, sometimes at the eleventh hour. Twenty years later, she has realized that God must have been holding her hand through hell, delivering her from the evils of her life in order to save others.

This poignant well-written book tells the story of a police officer’s family and one daughter’s quest for justice long after the heart-wrenching murder of her mother. 1 Problem 'Me' - 1 Answer 'getting over Me'

As long as we man as well as women, both of course in different ways, yet as long as our focus is on me, striving to satisfy my flesh never enough, miserable of myself, never satisfied, never enough perfume/makeup, never enoug muscle power control, etc etc.

We have a problem/problems - Answer getting over me/ourselves, if we can do this, better yet if a couple can do this mission accomplished that we will begin to then see unselfish greatness for our lives as well as our companions.

Of course we all know or at least should know where the real truth is but few very few are willing to deny themselves - I will give up a little bit of my self desires just want 'get er done' to be fooling no one and the problems resume.

This world is filled with deception all for greed, money, lust, power, we will never be happy long striving to satisfy the flesh (man or woman)

(get over ourselves to get into helping others then we will bign to see the beauty, the special we long for coming out in us and without our even realizing it)  God is good, God is the truth yet we tend to listen to the lies this world tells us, shows us !!!

I am honored to be speaking at the "16 Days of Activism" event at Coastal Carolina University on Monday, Dec 6. It's a drop-in event and I hope I will have the opportunity to meet a lot of you there!

CONWAY - Leaders from several area women’s organizations will speak at a drop-in reception being held in conjunction with the international “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign” from 2-6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 in Room 313 of the Wall College of Business Building at Coastal Carolina University.

Guest speakers will be Kelly O’Neill-Bagwell, president of Zonta Club; Susan Murphy-Milano, a violent relationship and high-risk case review specialist; Joyce Hart, executive director of the Rape Crisis Center; Justine Simone, an abuse survivor; Terri DeCenzo, executive director of Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University; and a member of the Eastern Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking. The reception will also feature refreshments and volunteer opportunities.

The event is sponsored by CCU’s women and gender studies program, the department of communication and the Women’s Resource Center, and will benefit Zonta Club of Myrtle Beach, the Rape Crisis Center of Horry and Georgetown Counties and Eastern Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking.

The 16 Days Campaign was initiated in 1991 at the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute at Rutgers University, N.J., and has since grown internationally to raise awareness about violence against women, a human rights violation. The campaign traditionally begins Nov. 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends Dec. 10, Human Rights Day.

The event is free and open to anyone to drop in at anytime. For additional information, call the CCU Women’s Resource Center at 843-349-2218.
