"Good to see you here, Dariel! We are in Nashville this weekend for our nephew's high school graduation. Walked around on Music Row last night like typical tourists. If you have an idea for a theme, let me know! Cheers, hugs - KAO "

"Cool picture, Lester! I think one of the funnest things about belly dancing must be the costumes. I have a friend in upstate NY who teaches belly dance, and she has a whole attic full of belly dance fashion bling and flash."

What is it about Here Women Talk that interests you? This is not required.
Worked in libraries as a teenager. Was always a big reader. Art was my major in college. Went "back to the land" in upstate NY for several years after college. Then went to grad school and became a public librarian. Retired last year, and am taking a more meandering path thru life. Enjoy traveling with my husband, making art, gardening, cooking, psychology, and crafts. I take part in a circle of women at my church who study native American spirituality. We also have a fiber arts circle we call Common Threads. In the 70s I took part in women's "CR" groups, later in poetry and creative writing circles. Yikes, one more group I'm in is an Artit's Way circle. Creativity is a major force in my life. I love blogging weekly about my passions and obsessions!

Dearest Keddy!

So sweet of youth write to me. I trust that my jaw is healing. I truly believe I'll not have another "auto accident" as I call falls, etc. My body is the vehicle I was given and I learn from each incident. I truly believe I don't have to fall again - unless it's in love. So dear of you to care and write.

Your fan,

Bobbie

Keddy! You've been a busy girl. I've been away from HWT for a bit, lots going on. Here's my wish for a happy, happy birthday. I know you'll honor it with grace and humor.

BTW, here's a quote I find painfully valuable: To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing. -- Elbert Hubbard

Hi Keddy,

Please forgive my delay in answering your request. This is my first foray into a social network, and I needed coaching to figure out how to respond to a friend request! I'm taking baby steps into the 21st century. I'm enjoying your site because it allows room to discuss art and creativity from so many angles. I'm intrigued by your spirit and am looking forward to getting to know you better--in baby steps, of course.

Blessings, Bonnie

Hi Keddy,
It was great meeting you too! I am currently working on a website to sell my jewelry and other beaded art pieces. I got into beading a few years ago by accident. I bought a kit for my daughter but she wasn't too interested. I was instantly addicted! I'm also a new cast member with Carolina Improv Company and have started working on stand up and written comedy. I'm looking forward to spending time here - in the short time since I've joined it's been far more productive than the year or so I've been on facebook! Thanks for the warm welcome.
Lynne
PS - love your collages
